2025 Mercedes-AMG CLE 63 S E-Performance Coupe and Cabrio Get a Quick CGI Reveal
Since July 2023, Mercedes-Benz's latest strategy to slim down the model lineup has led to the introduction of an all-new CLE series. Composed of a two-door coupe and convertible, it is related to all traditional car series (C-, E-, and S-Class), but it actively succeeds with just two nameplates.

In the grand scheme of Mercedes-Benz things, the all-new CLE-Class is based on the MRA II platform that also hosts the W206 C-Class, the W214 E-Class, and W223 S-Class, but it is meant to replace no less than four models – the C205 and A205 Mercedes-Benz C-Class coupe and Cabriolet plus the C238 and A238 Mercedes-Benz E-Class coupe and Cabriolet. That's a lot of code names, right?

So, as part of the strategy to streamline the model range, now the Audi A5 and BMW 4 Series have a new contender, the CLE Class. More importantly, the series is bound to show a more aggressive demeanor next year with help from Mercedes-AMG variants that will fight the S5 and M4s of the world.

According to the rumor mill, the Affalterbach brand will most likely kick off the proceeds with the 'milder' CLE 55 variants, followed by the mighty CLE 63 and CLE 63 S versions. It is still being determined whether the high-performance division will up the ante on the Audi RS 5 and BMW M4 Competition with hybridized variants of the E Performance variety.

Naturally, that doesn't mean that we shouldn't dare to dream of them. And when all that is said and done, some people might also want to take matters into their hands. Or rather, at the tip of their CGI brushes, as is the case with the imaginative realm of digital car content creators. After all, the regular Mercedes CLEs already have access to all sorts of powertrains with four or six cylinders, all of which have mild hybrid tech, thanks to its use of the second-generation MRA 2 platform.

That naturally paves the way forward to envisioning the CLE coupe, and Cabriolet could also be derived in full AMG E Performance form, right? Well, no worries, the virtual artist tucked behind the 'AscarissDesign' moniker on social media has a big craving for neat AMG projects and decided to make a two-in-one video presentation so that he doesn't work twice if the CLE coupe and Cabriolet were separated.

In the pixel master's latest behind-the-scenes making-of video embedded below, he presented the step-by-step process of transforming the regular Mercedes-Benz CLE coupe and Cabriolet into the potentially upcoming Mercedes-AMG CLE 63 S E Performance models. Of course, do take all of this with a healthy dose of salt, even though the author seems spot-on on the necessary changes that compile the traditional AMG looks. Still, they both look cool, right?
