Abarth 695 '75° Anniversario'
Established almost 75 years ago, the Italian brand Abarth is well known for its high-performance Fiat derivatives - and now the culmination is this special 695 edition.

Also, this might be a sad moment to witness because the company is embarking on the novel EV lifestyle with full steam ahead.

The brand with the scorpion image has had a challenging time over the years, as its fortunes are intertwined with Fiat's. Luckily, now they have something new to chew on – aside from ICE-powered models, there's also the Abarth 500e, and soon they will also rock the Abarth 600e.

The latter was recently teased with no less than 237 horsepower on tap. Both the Abarth 500e and 600e are a sign of things to come, though they might not be as beloved as ICE-powered models because one of the signature cues of an Abarth was its distinctive exhaust note. These models may be small, but they did have powerful voices.

Well, if money is no object of concern – Abarth vehicles have always been a little pricey – the Italian high-performance is giving us one of the last chances to grab something special featuring the T-Jet engine. The new Abarth 695 75° Anniversario edition, available in just 1,368 units to pay its respect to the 1.4-liter engine, references two things – the brand's milestone age and the mill's capacity: 1,368cc.

Packing a Garrett GT 1446 turbocharger, the engine delivers 180 ponies and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque at 3,000 rpm. With a maximum speed of 140 mph (225 kph) and a sprint to 62 mph (100 kph) in 6.7 seconds, the Abarth 695 is no snail, even though some would liken it to one because it resembles the shelled gastropod. Anyway, the model also features the Record Monza active valve exhaust setup, as well as Koni FSD shock absorbers on both axles.

To ensure everyone notices this special edition, there's also a bespoke livery with a massive gold scorpion logo on the roof, Abarth script on the sides, and other distinctive touches. Gold Abarth logos are also featured on each side, there are original 75° Anniversario decals in the shape of a piston head, and the exclusive 17-inch gold wheels cover the braking system with 305x28mm ventilated and perforated disks packing black Brembo aluminum calipers.

Moving inside, customers will find a high-quality black Alcantara dashboard, new Sabelt carbon fiber seats, more Alcantara inserts, a 7-inch DAB radio infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, automatic AC, Beats audio and a navigation system, plus Mopar Connect features like My:Assistant, My:Remote Control, My:Car and My:Journey. Moving on, the next special edition will be none other than the New Abarth 600e Scorpionissima launch version, also offered in minimal examples – just 1,949 units will be up for grabs.
