You Probably Won't Believe How Much This V12 Maybach Costs
If you want to spruce up your life with this particular Maybach, then you should prepare a large chunk of money, as it is anything but affordable

In fact, it costs way more than a Maybach-branded S-Class, and it actually makes the regular Benz variant look extremely affordable.

This is a Mercedes-Maybach S 680, and you already know what this means, don't you? That's right, it is the V12-powered version, which sits at the top of the family. It features a handcrafted 6.0-liter unit with bi-turbos that steams out 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. The output is 621 bhp (463 kW/630 ps), and it is available between 5,250 and 5,500 rpm.

Everything is deployed to the 4matic all-wheel drive system through a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. One must not ask a few questions in life, like a lady's age and how fast a luxury car is. However, in this case, Mercedes-Maybach has made an exception, revealing that the 0-60 mph (97 kph) is a 4.3-second affair in the S 680.

How does it compare to the lesser variant, which is known as the Mercedes-Maybach S 580? Well, the latter is four-tenths of a second slower, taking 4.7 seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph. This model also benefits from the same drivetrain, and instead of a V12, it packs a 4.0L bi-turbo V8. The engine develops 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque and a peak output of 496 bhp (370 kW/503 ps) at 5,500 rpm.

You may want to take a seat, as we are talking about €434,945, including tax, which equals around $510,500 at the current exchange rate, and that is very steep for a bone-stock Mercedes. How does it compare to the regular Mercedes-Maybach S 680 4Matic in our market? This one has an MSRP of $244,400 attached to it, so that you can have two of them for the cost of this one limited edition (50 copies) machine. The lesser Mercedes-Maybach S 580 4Matic kicks off at $207,150 in the United States for the 2026 model year.

For comparison, we will remind you that the Rolls-Royce Ghost, which is the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class' direct rival from the British automotive luxury brand, which is owned by the BMW Group, can be ordered from just under $360,000 and goes up to over $420,000 for a fully-loaded example. The Phantom sits in a superior league, and costs between almost $520,000 and almost $600,000, and the Bentley Flying Spur kicks off at less than $300,000.

Now, if you must really have this limited edition Mercedes-Maybach S 680 in your life, then you may want to check out the online listing here on the quoted website. The car is in stock and ready to be exported to worldwide markets, albeit at an extra cost. But would you really pay two brand-new Mercedes-Maybach S 680s for the cost of this single car?
