BMW Spices Up X2, X3, And X4 With New M Performance Goodies
Give your new X SUV some M trinkets.

If you're in the market for one of BMW's latest SUVs, there are now new ways to upgrade the X2, X3 or the X4 with an assortment of items bringing a sportier look inside and out. Starting off with the body, side graphics in Frozen Black carry the "M Performance" lettering to let everyone know you haven't bought a run-of-the-mill model. It can be complemented by the front lettering in a glossy black theme, which can also be applied on the kidney grille in the case of the X2.

All three SUVs can get carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) side mirror caps benefitting from several coating layers and finished off with a high-gloss polish to make them shine even in the darkest night. Needless to say, there are also a bunch of alloy wheel designs available in multiple sizes, up to 20 inches in the case of the X2 whereas the X3 and X4 can get an even bigger 21-inch set for those willing to sacrifice comfort for the sake of style.

One feature that we would definitely avoid would have to be the door-mounted LED projectors. These come to replace the standard entry light and project a graphic (BMW  M logo, for example) onto the road once you open the door.

Stepping inside the cabin, BMW kicks things off with a set of M Performance-branded floor mats made out of velour velvet mimicking leather and with contrasting decorative seams for an upscale look. All three SUVs can be optionally had with an M Performance steering wheel covered in Alcantara and leather combined with a red marking in the 12 o'clock position.

Those willing to fork out more money can get steering wheel trim panels in carbon fiber / leather, but only for the X3 and X4. Rounding off the list of niceties are the shift paddles available in high-gloss carbon fiber if you go for the X3 or the X4.

You'll have to contact your local BMW dealer to find out details about pricing, but surely these goodies won't come cheap. After all, the company does say its new items draw inspiration from BMW M's motorsport expertise. Well, maybe except for the LED projectors...
