2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo debuts in Frankfurt with 550 hp
Porsche recently unveiled its newest iteration of its successful Cayenne SUV, but saved a little extra for the Frankfurt Motor Show.

In addition to the new Cayenne and Cayenne S revealed ahead of the IAA, Porsche has just announced an even higher-performance version, the 2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Here's what you need to know...

POWER

The Cayenne Turbo's twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 is good for a peak 550 horsepower and 567 pound-feet of torque. For comparison, the 2019 Cayenne's 3.0-liter single-turbo V6 makes 340 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, while the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6- powered Cayenne S provides 440 horsepower and 406 pound-feet.

SPEED

The 209 Porsche Cayenne does 0-60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds, or just 3.7 seconds with the Sport Chrono package. That's 0.1 seconds quicker than the previous Cayenne Turbo S. It has a top speed of 177 miles per hour.

CHASSIS

The 2019 Cayenne Turbo benefits from Porsche Active Suspension Management, using three air chambers per spring strut for more adjustability both on- and off-road. It offers six selectable ride heights, as well as modes for Road, Mud, Gravel, Sand or Rocks.

STABILITY

The Cayenne Turbo gets rear-axle steering, roll stabilization, and the Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus system. Cast-iron disc brakes coated in tungsten carbide come standard, while ceramic composite brakes are available as an optional upgrade.

PRICE

The 2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo starts at $125,650.
